    Made.com is the online destination for elegantly designed affordable furniture to create your dream home. They showcase a range of independent designers and makers with a flair for uniqueness.

    The Challenge

    Made.com found they were losing out to competitors in Google’s organic search results in the sofa category, leading to a decline in online sales. They enlisted Climb Online to assist them in moving further up the search page results, driving traffic towards their sofa landing page, and growing online sales. They required an innovative and imaginative solution that could be easily repurposed and adapted for future marketing activities.

    Our analysis uncovered the theme of “small spaces in big cities” as a substantial online talking point, so we settled on this as the central focus of our entire creative execution for an innovative online customer experience.

    Our Strategy

    We used our proprietary organic search methodology to conduct an in-depth and wide-ranging analysis of several areas. This research produced valuable insights for creating a memorable and newsworthy hook that would capture the imagination of consumers and high-traffic websites alike, allowing us to generate backlinks directly to Made.com’s sofa category pages.

    Our Approach

    With our extensive expertise in design and development, we created a completely unique interactive online experience using stylish CGI interiors for homes in London, Paris and Amsterdam.

    Users could unleash their inner designer, furnishing a range of rooms and spaces at the click of a button. Our engaging, beautifully designed web and mobile campaign landing pages encouraged users to transform these small spaces with Made.com furniture. At the same time, our “Shop the Look” call to action directed them to the sofa category landing page, creating a frictionless customer journey.

    The Results

    Our comprehensive research allowed us to create a rich, interactive user experience that chimed perfectly with a topic already receiving much online attention. We were able to secure vast amounts of coverage and backlinks from large websites such as Zoopla and London Loves Business, taking Made.com back up the rankings on Google’s search page.

    We created a strategic campaign that could be not only easily repackaged and leveraged by Made.com for use in future promotional activity but also yielded fantastic results. Our work with Made.com saw an 81% YoY increase in visitors to their sofa landing pages, a 78% YoY increase in online sofa purchases, and an outstanding 211% YoY increase in online sofa revenues.
