    The Brand

    Their curated wines are sourced from popular countries and regions including New Zealand, Australia, France and Argentina, while Wine Delivered has been at the forefront of the growing celebrity wine movement. Some of the brands in their extensive portfolio include Kylie Minogue Wines, listing her premium series exclusively, Graham Norton’s Own, Howard Park Wines, Invite x SJP Wines, Chateau Sainte Roseline, Sir Ian Botham Wines and Mad Fish. 

    The Challenge

    When Wine Delivered brought the Climb Online team on board, their email marketing was falling behind their other marketing channels from a lack of in-house resources. They required a fresh strategy towards email marketing that could increase output.

    Our Strategy

    Our approach involved positioning the brand as both a market and thought leader within this space. We designed and implemented flows which were custom to the alcohol industry, continuously running and optimising these while we launched new weekly campaigns to engage the database. These campaigns included fully branded emails with some of the major brands stocked by Wine Delivered, such as Kylie Minogue Wines, Ian Botham and Gary Barlow. We selected brands that would appeal to their audience each week and included product cross-sells with valuable background knowledge of these products.

    The Results

    Within just 45 days of setting the first flows live, our robust approach saw us achieve 47% of Wine Delivered’s overall revenue from email marketing. They saw an average daily revenue per recipient of £0.22, with an 864.31% increase in users across the site generated by email marketing and with a 185.71% increase in visitors to the checkout page.
